ABN.- The President of Venezuela Hugo Chavez was welcomed this Wednesday by his Dominican counterpart Leonel Fernandez at the Palace of Government, where they will sign three cooperation agreements to contribute with the development of the two countries on strategic areas, such as energy, telecommunications and fight against drug trafficking.

Caracas, May 05. ABN.- Deputies of the Venezuelan National Assembly reaffirmed the support of the Venezuelan State to the development of friend and solidary relations between Venezuela and Vietnam, in the framework of the principles of revolutionary love and anti-imperialist fight.

This statement was issued by the National Assembly in the occasion of the commemoration of 35 years since the end of the war in Vietnam and the victory of the revolution.

Caracas, May 06 ABN.- The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, disregarded the attacks received after announcing that the country would buy 49% of stake in the main oil refinery of the Dominican Republic, since “we are here with the desire of cooperating because we also need Dominican's support, which we have received a lot.”

Caracas, May 06 ABN.- The presidents of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, and Bolivia, Evo Morales, will take the voice of the peoples from the world who fight to save the planet up to the Cancun Climate Summit, Mexico, next December 2010.

The information was said by Venezuela's Minister of Environment, Alejandro Hitcher, during the opening of a congress on biological diversity, which took place last Wednesday in Aragua state, central Venezuela.

Caracas, May 06 ABN.- Officers of Venezuela's scientific and investigative police CICPC arrested the citizen Juan Montoya Gonzalez, who was wanted due to crimes of conspiracy and terrorism.

Mr Montoya is charged of placing explosives in the seat of the employers' association Fedecamaras on February 2008.

CICPC General Director, Commissioner Wilmer Flores Trosel, explained that Mr Montoya was arrested on Wednesday afternoon in Caracas by officers ascribed to the Capture and Seizure Department.
